Core Concept
The entire build revolves around three interacting mechanics that break the damage formula wide open in 2025:
- Ice Blades Enchantment procs on every critical strike you land, which reduces the cooldown of Unstable Currents by 1.5 seconds per proc. With 60% crit chance, you get 4-5 procs per second, dropping Unstable Currents cooldown from 90 seconds to 8-10 seconds. That gives you 90%+ up-time on Unstable Currents, which gives you 40% increased damage and random free casts of your other skills.
- The Oculus unique wand gives you 30% increased damage per stack of Arcane Charge, up to 15 stacks, for a total of 450% increased damage when stacked. And with Ice Blades proccing Arcane Charge every hit, you hit max stacks in 2 seconds flat.
- Esadora's Overflowing Cameo amulet gives you 20% damage penetration for every enemy you frozen, stacking up to 10. We freeze everything on cooldown with Frost Nova, so we get 200% damage penetration against every group, which bypasses 2/3 of the damage resistance that high tier enemies get. That alone doubles our damage compared to other builds.
When you stack all three together, you get a multiplicative damage modifier that no other Sorcerer loadout can touch. For your base attribute points at level 100: All 50 points go to Intelligence. No exceptions. Intelligence gives 0.1% Arcane damage per point, which adds 5% multiplicative damage for us. Don't put any into Willpower or Dexterity—even the extra crit chance from Dexterity isn't worth the 5% damage loss.
